Firstly I must apologise for my absence on commenting on your blogs the last few days.  The Sweetpea household has been very poorly but I'm happy to say that I think that we are now all on the mend.

Catch Up

Ooh I've been neglecting my little blog - I guess it's just that time of the year when it's all BuSy BuSy BuSy!

 

I hope you are all well and a BiG welcome to new followers, it's lovely to have you here.

 

I've been busily sorting out bits and bobs for Christmas and am slowly putting up decorations in ready for our tree, which will be decorated on Tuesday.

 

Little twigs hung with treasures are in the kitchen

 

 

 

 

I completed my festive bunting (although I changed my mind on making it white and went for BrIgHtLy coloured instead) The pattern is from the lovely LuluLoves

 

 

Snowflakes are in the window

 

My sweet mini pointsettia is florishing

 

 

And Christmas gifts are being created.

 

 

 

And this afternoon I think I shall write my cards and have a go at making some pomanders

December.......

The last month of 2012, boy that snuck up on us quickly didn't it?

 

Here's the Little Sweetpea's advent calender, Little Miss is struggling with the concept of only ONE chocolate a day bless her :)

 

December brings us advent and along with quite a few others, I signed up for LaaLaa's Advent Swap.

I was partnered with Sherry and my parcel of advent goodies arrived just over a week ago.

 

 

I'm not going to post everyday, I shall do a weekly round up.

Oh What A Night!

Mum and Dad picked hubby and I up at 4.30pm and we made our way up to London

 

Beautiful twinkling lights lined the streets, beautiful trees and the open air ice rink outside the Natural History Museum

 



The glow of Harrods, filled the November sky

 



 

And then we reached our destination..............................

 

 

 

........................The Royal Albert Hall

 

Inside, the stage was set for an AmAzInG night of rhythm and blues with the one and only.......

Mum and Dad had treated us to a spectacular evening with our own private box

What a Lucky Girl I Am!

Thank you all so so much for your birthday wishes yesterday.  I had a wonderful day and I was spoilt rotten! I was told - 'well you're only 30 once!'

Lots of tea was drunk, lots of cake was eaten and of course presents were opened.

From hubby and the Little Sweetpeas I was treated to a very special present

Beautiful bamboo needles, knitting bag (reminds me of Ada's wonderful fabrics!) and a fabulous book.  I have mastered casting on :)

This crochet hook and case is from 1907 - AdOrE it! I wonder how many crochet items have been whipped up with this!

See........... Totally and utterly spoilt. And that's not all, Mum and Dad are taking hubby and me out on Friday afternoon/evening but I don't know where we are going - it's a surprise, sooooooo excited!
