It's Sunday again, so you know what that means!
Time for some reasons to be cheerful!
We had a lovely afternoon today with family! It's my sister's birthday tomorrow so we headed to the pub for a few drinks to celebrate!
I've been busy this week making and sorting out special gifts
The first was this BeAuTiFuL book - Tea with Bea (my sister's name is Rebecca and my children call her Auntie Bee, so when I saw this book I thought it was perfect!) Then using a recipe from the book I made up a little baking mix for the Ultimate Afternoon Scone.
My sister is a HuGe Jane Austen lover and whilst trawling the gorgeous Etsy I came across some heart pictures using pages from famous novels and thought I could do it myself, so I gave it a whirl and here it is.......................
Using pages from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice!
The gifts went down very well.
I also whipped up a cake! (any excuse!)
Using sweet strawberries,
and mini meringues, and a bit of pink edible sparkle!
Eton Mess Cake! Looking scrummy on a vintage square cakestand!
Recipe can be found here
Make a wish........................
Here is the birthday girl ( I hope she doesn't mind me posting her picture) with her blooming baby bump, enjoying her tea with bea book!
Happy Birthday Sis! Love you Lots!

Love your heart pic hun. I`ve seen these on Etsy and people are charging quite a bit. I have these on my list of Christmas things to make, I`m going doing butterflies and hearts. Also going to make one for best friends wedding.

Love your blog.
Your squares for the cushion are wonderful.
I have no artistic genes so couldn't even imagine doing something like that but I do admire people who can (and am slightly jealous of their creativity too!!!)
Your weekend sounds lovely.
