Whoosh!

Where did that weekend go?
We've been busy, busy, busy doing................well.................not a lot really.

Lets start with Friday when Mr Postie bought me a lovely package!

A week or so ago I won a gorgeous giveaway from the very lovely and talented Janet Bell, if you're not familiar with her work go and check it out, I'm sure you'll LoVe it!

Beautifully wrapped goodies, carefully undone to reveal........

10 stunning notecards, which I am going to frame!  2 scrumptious smelling handmade sea salt soaps, a little notebook with one of Janet's images on the front and 2 gorgeous tea towels - one taupe and one pale blue with delightful boats and houses on.  Thank you so so much Janet, I'm thrilled with these beauties!!

Trying to inject a bit of summer into our lives I picked up some strawberries, so red and juicy! And made them into a yummy pud, Eaton Mess!

Collecting fabrics and buttons together for Sandra's Pretty Crafty Home, planning to make some hanging hearts or bunting with these - Little Miss' outgrown dresses!

On Saturday, Hubby was working so I took the children to see my Mum and Dad and we actually had some sunshine.  Here are a few shots from their garden.

Ladybird enjoying the Rosemary

Lot's of pretty blue striped dragonflies flitting about!

Love this waterbutt and pump

Such a gorgeous shade of pink

An arty shot! :)

Weeping Willow bark

Stunning aquilegia

This was the sky on Saturday evening, this photo doesn't do it justice but it was a gorgeous blue flecked with pink clouds!

***

This morning was a rare treat, the children went to Hubby's Mum and Dads while we went to Kingston to look at sofabeds (exciting, I know!)

This is Kingston Bridge, all decked out with bunting!

We had to stop for tea of course! Mmm and a sneaky cinnamon danish!

And a paddleboat sailed past as we were enjoying our tea!

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend! Also a warm hello to my new followers!

  7. What a fabulous giveaway!

I laughed at your 'sofa-bed excursion' - when you seldom get time on your own it's funny what can seem a great treat. Great for the children to have two lots of grandparents who love to have them over.

  9. What a beautiful package - lucky, lucky you and strawberries 'yum!' It may feel like Winter, but we're still in the throws of making all things strawberry and elderflower - even though we don't really feel like it.

    Have a lovely day,

    Nina xx
