It's the Weekend!

Yay! And we have snow! Do you?

I LoVe snow, but only for the first couple of hours

This week has been a crafty and baking kind of week.
Planning and making some swap gifts

Continuing with my ever growing list of WIPs

Starting new projects - tut tut

a pretty cover for my Kindle

And a spot of baking thrown in

These are chocolate and white chocolate chunk fairy buns - and very yummy they were too

Hope you've all had a lovely week

  1. We've also been waiting or the snow. At the moment what is falling seems to resemble talcum powder. What I really love are those lovely large flakes that can mesmerise you when you gaze out of the window. Still, there's hope yet. Mind you when it comes to the school run tomorrow well that's a different story. I just want to get out there with my camera and then come back and curl up on the sofa. Mmmm. I love your kindle cover. I'm a new crocheter and I love the flower. Can you recommend any good books?

    1. Hi Patricia
I'd still say I'm fairly new to crochet too. As a beginner I found Nicki Trench's book Cutr and Easy Crochet really helpful - it has a good stitch guide plus some gorgeous projects!

  3. Hi Victoria!
You've been a busy lady! I adore your kindle cover. Too sweet! AND yummy cakes! I too only love the snow for the first few hours...grump! I'm not a fan of the sludge it creates afterwards! Anyhow, it's looking very pretty from the window, and I'll just stand here and admire it with a cup of hot chocolate for now! Have a terrific Sunday, and stay warm!

  6. We have lots of snow and frost, I like it but the wind is icy cold today. Baked cupcakes for tea and are ready a lovely book. Wish you a lot of success with crocheting.

  12. We have had constant snow since Friday morning here :( I love the snow from my window but I am not a lover of being out in it, unless its walks with my camera. Luckily my young boys don't like being out in it either.

I love the sound of those fairy cakes and your kindle cover is so cute, I am quite jealous xx

  15. Absolutely agree - snow is good but only for a short time. Please clear it all up before we return from New Zealand! Well done you on the craft front, you seem to be steaming ahead there! Lx

  16. We've had a deluge of snow in Yorkshire overnight and its still coming down. I am still recuperating from flu so fortunately dont mind because I dont have to go out.Loving your makes and I see you have got the same mixer as I bought the other week. Sadly I have been so poorly I wasnt even the first to use it, Tony used it yesterday to make bread and proclaimed it to be the best money I'd ever spent!!

  17. Snow, crochet and baking...can you find a better mix? I love them all! Sadly we only had snow for a few hours yesterday, I guess I'll have to do more of the others to make up for it ;) Lovely makes :) x
