WIP

Hello my lovelies, just a quick post today to share with you a WIP.  Thank you if you've taken time to stop by, it's lovely to have you here.  Now I'm not one for having my photo taken, much rather be behind the lense but here is a glimpse of me for you all (incase you were interested) :)

Back to the WIP.  My sweet sister is expecting her first baby in September.  I wanted to give her something that she could use every day and be extra special so I decided to embark on making a giant granny square baby blanket.

Now my sister and brother-in-law are not finding out the sex of the baby so I'm making the blanket in white which is a bit tedious but I think it will look lovely when it's finished with a sweet little border although not sure whether to add a round of colour before the border, what do you think?  I have completed 31 rounds so far and am aiming on 45 to 50 rounds when finished, I think that will be big enough, fingers crossed :)

Just wanted to leave you with some beautiful spring blossom from my potted apple tree.  This is the first year it's bloomed and the flowers are so so delicate...

So so pretty.... Right, we're off out into the garden now to clear some pots and get a bit of fresh air whilst the sun is still shining.  See you soon.

How exciting...you are going to be an auntie!
I'm sure your sister will be thrilled with the lovely crochet blanket and I think white is perfect for a new born.

  2. Hi Victoria

Welcome from me too. Bet you'll really get into blogging as I found it really fed my creativity and spurred me on to get stuff finished. Once I'd mentioned something I'd started you feel you need to get on with it.

Think it's much better to have a surprise as to the sex of the baby, makes it more exciting.

    1. Thank you so much for your comment Lisa. Yes I'm hoping I'll be spurred on to complete things if I blog as I have a tendency to begin crafty things and then forget about them :)
