Dorset 2012

Hello my lovelies, the wanderers have returned from a beautiful week away in Sandbanks, Dorset.
We arrived back home Saturday afternoon and am now suffering from a bit of the holiday blues.  I do so wish we lived in this wonderful part of the world - one day, hopefully :)

I shall let my photos speak for themselves as I could waffle on and on about the gorgeousness of Dorset but I shall save that for another time :)

We were super lucky and had amazing weather whilst away with only a spot of rain on the Monday and the sun is continuing to shine even today :)

So, Saturday afternoon we arrived at the holiday house on the Sandbanks Peninsula with Mr Sweetpea's Mum and Dad.  The house had lovely gardens and the most AmAzInG fig tree I've ever seen.

Sunday saw us head out to one of our favourite spots - West Bay, just along from Bridport.

Monday we headed for a stroll along the pier at Swanage, where both the little sweetpeas have a plaque.

We enjoyed sitting drinking tea and watching the boats at Weymouth on Wednesday, then we headed back via Studland and the GoRgEoUs Knoll Beach so the children (and mummy) could play in the sea!

On Thursday we visited The Blue Pool at Furzebrook. What and absolutely stunning place this is! We had a beautiful walk around the pool through lovely woodland and finished off with a lovely pot of tea and warm scones from the quaint little tea house.

Friday we headed for another favourite spot, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, then along through the wonderful villages surrounding Corfe Castle. Such wonderful scenery.

We also managed a little trip to Bournemouth to walk along the pier.

And Saturday came round all too quickly and it was time to come home. But wonderful memories have been made and will be cherished for a long time to come!
