Doughnut Love

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend.  It's been gloriously sunny here but very cold.
Mr Sweetpea has started working on a new house in Wimbledon Village so yesterday we all hopped into the car for a little trip to see his new site.  What has this got to do with doughnuts I hear you ask?

Well, on the way is a VeRy scrummy doughnut factory - you may have heard of it?!

So as a special Sunday treated we popped in for tea and doughnuts.

What could be more perfect?

  1. I have heard of Krispy Kreme doughnuts..but have yet to try them (haven't found a place that sells them nearby), they look delish though! I would have a hard time picking which one (two/three) to have :P

  4. Ooo Victoria how scrummy do those doughnuts look! I`m always tempted by Krispy Kremes if I stop at Wetherby services as they sell them at the WH Smiths there.
I`ve treated myself to a custard doughnut today and delicious it was too!

  10. Love Krispy Kremes but have to travel to get one (or 3) so I often make do with Tescos chocolate covered doughnut filled with a delicious vanilla cream.

  16. Ohhh, Krispy Kremes are the best! Ok, fun story. So I was at a Krispy Kreme near my town, and it's one where they have glass panes all around so you can see them making the doughnuts. I did not, however, see the six-inch ledge along the floor in front of the panes-- so I tripped and went face-first, bug-on-a-windshield style, into the glass and slid down. Not my finest moment. And that is my Krispy Kreme story.

I'm so glad you had a great time!

  17. Wimbledon is a lovely area,I come from Fulham, just a bit further into London, but my family used to walk the dogs at Wimbledon common- never saw the Wombles though!
Krispy creme are my favorites too- first came across them in Vegas many moons ago and then went up to Harrods to get some when they first arrived in the uk!
