Boy, Tuesdays come round fast don't they?
Yes you read right, I have a little ta dah!
I had some unexpected hooky time on Saturday night. The little Sweetpeas were tucked up in bed and hubby went to bed early too so I snuggled up on the sofa with a lovely cuppa, a bit of chocolate for sustenance, put the new Jane Eyre film on the telly and I hooked away for two and a half hours - bliss! - and I completed my rainbow granny stripe scarf/cowl!
Then on Sunday I sewed in the ends and Ta-Dah!
GoRgeOuS rainbow granny goodness!!
I used Lucy's granny stripe pattern, my favourite 4mm hook and lovely (and cheap!) Stylecraft yarn.
So now it's on to the beautiful hexagons. I haven't completed anymore of those since I last showed you so I just have 7 in total. I'm joining as I go and I think I'm going to sew the ends in as I go too as I really do loathe that part! :)
Make sure you visit Carole for more one a day projects!

Sounds like a blissful evening with a very productive outcome! M x
ReplyDeleteOh to have a hooky night like that! Love the scarf
ReplyDeleteWell that is it...chocolate and Jane Eyre cheered you on to a beautiful and quick finish! Bring on the cold weather I say. :-)
ReplyDeleteI have not seen the newest version of JE and really want to see it. I do not go the movies so have to order a DVD of the ones I really want to see.
Hugs from Holland ~

Dear Victoria
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your rainbow scarf - it is gorgeous. I enjoyed the latest Jane Eyre too. I'm hoping to have some more projects finished soon (well, soon-ish, as I'm not too good with getting on, due to too many books to read and films to watch!) Keep up the good work!
Best wishes
