Pitter, Patter Rain Drops!

Ooh are you fed up with all this rain? I know I am and I know the Little Sweetpeas certainly are! Everything is soggy and covered in droplets of water.

Teeny, tiny Rhubarb

Red Dogwood

Pinks about to open

Dianthus - 'Sooty'

Yellow Dianthus

White Dianthus

Even the snails have had enough!
I don't find this sort of weather very inspiring either, would rather just snuggle up on the sofa and watch films that actually 'do' anything.  So not much crafting has taken place, just a few things for my handmade heart swap, but I can't show you those just yet :)

I am also taking on Kate's challenge of using a little notebook to record our 'reasons to be cheerful'.

I only bought a plain little notebook, as I didn't have one at home, and I prettified it just a little with some gold and pink decopatch papers.

Looks much better now :)

Other big news is my passionflower has bloomed - oh my word - it is so so pretty.

It amazes me when I look at the photos how wonderful nature is! This single bloom has sooooooo much detail crammed into it's little petals, it's astonishing! And the colour too!

I hope you've had some respite from the rain, until next time lovelies

  5. We have been lucky as it hasn't rained here today, but it has still been very dull and cloudy. Just the sort of weather to make me want to curl up with a good book and some chocolate. Flaming June indeed!
    Best wishes

  10. Oh, I am so sick of this rain, it's been at it for days here! My kitties have had enough too, every time it thunders they run to hide under the bed. And I'm right there with you on the lack of productivity in this weather... all I want to do is curl up and watch movies and snuggle with the cats!

Here's hoping for some sunshine soon!

  11. Hi Victoria,

You have such a sweet garden. Fingers crossed the plants will benefit from all these weather changes! I'm getting fed of this weather too, it's so depressing but today seems brighter. Lets just hope we get some sunshine this weekend.

Let me know how you get on with the Lemon cake!

The passion fruit flower is really pretty..it's very exotic looking :)
ohh to answer your question on my blog post, those are slippers that I bought (they are actually a cheap and cheerful pair from asda, as I didn't want to spend to much on a pair for the hospital..but I thought they were quite cute).
    Have a good day today..
